Programme:

COPE-CAMBODIA Organization Programme is very important of machinist to educate the poor students, orphans that were selected from destitute families in rural communities’ area and provided a good opportunity to them to get the knowledge in English and Computer related skills at COPE-Cambodia Center.

Goal of this programme is aiming to reduce the ignorance and will emphasize to develop the basic of capacity building widespread in the communities. And it can reach to find good job to do in the organization or private companies in the future in Kingdom of Cambodia. 35-40 % of the populations in the rural areas are living under the national poverty line of $ 286 per year per person (World Bank-Cambodia Strategic Assistance Strategy 2005-2008). Inaccessibility to education & technologies is one of the main reasons causing poverty.

However, this programme will cooperate with Provincial Education Youth and Sport, which help keep an eye on and advice some good keys and idea that related to the methodologies in education progressive to COPE-Cambodia in order to share and change the important of experiences each other.

General education is very important thing for all humanities in the world. The knowledge can help them to enhance good morality, behavior and successful life in their communities or anywhere.

Education is more important today than ever before. It helps people acquire the skills they need for such everyday activities as reading a newspaper or managing their money. It also gives them the specialized training they will need to prepare for a job or career. For example, people must meet certain educational requirements and obtain a license or certificate before they may practice law or medicine. Many fields, such as computer or police work, require completion of special training.

Education is also important because it helps people get more out of life. It increases their knowledge and understanding of the world. Education helps people acquire skills that make their lives more interesting and enjoyable. Such skills include those needed to participate in a sport, paint a picture.

Education also helps people adjust to change. This benefit has become increasingly important because social change today take place with increasing speed and affect the lives of more and more people. Education can help a person understand these changes and provide the skills for adjusting to them.

COPE-Cambodia Organization focuses on:

1-English Language:

• Basic and Story books
• Let’s Talk and Story books
• English for children book
• Let’s go book

The English Language is free of charge for poor Cambodian around Banteay Meanchey Province, western part of Cambodia to attend the classes of COPE Center. It can allow 4oo people to educate here (morning and evening).

2-Comuter Related Skills:

• Microsoft Office.
• Internet and E-mail.
• Computer Repair.
• Graphic Design.

This programme is free of charge for poor people to get good opportunity with COPE-Cambodia Organization. It can admit 80 poor students to train here (Morning and Evening).
