This is staff activity to recruit the poor children from destitute families in community in Kompong Svay Village, Sereisophon District, Bateay Meanchey Province-Cambodia
Services:
COPE-Cambodia Organization Services have been recruited from the population target in the communities and our project location is selecting the poor people in Sereisophon, Mongkol Borey, Phnom Srok, Preah Net Preah and Malai District with 9 communes and 24 villages to educate in COPE Center. And this service has given the approval by Commune Council in each commune, Provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sport and Provincial Department Planning of Banteay Meanchey province.
In the future, COPE-Cambodia will plan the activity that provides a service or advice about the education for free of charge to people from destitute families in the communities. It can help the poor students to train in English language and Computer related skill. We will bring our teacher and material studies to be teaching at the communities needed.
COPE-CAMBODIA Organization will focus on all the instructors in the following:
1-Instructors will participate in professional development activities and strive for growth and improvement in their work.
1.1. Training and Development Activities.
Instructors will:
· Participate actively and constructively in professional training and development activities.
· Assist with training activities for other staff members, as requested
1.2. Professional Reflection and Dialogue
· Instructors will participate constructively in dialogue with other staff on teaching methodologies, course content, classroom management techniques and other topics that support professional development.
· Cope-Cambodia supports the individualized professional development of all staff. Instructors are encouraged to reflect upon their own performance, assess their own needs in regard to professional development and communicate with the Language and IT Managers or Programme Director about their professional development needs.
· Instructors are encouraged to seek feedback on their job performance from their supervisor, colleagues, and students and to respond appropriately to the feedback.
· Instructors are encouraged to develop informal training opportunities for themselves, including peer coaching.
1.3. Performance Appraisal
· COPE views the performance appraisal process as an integral and positives aspect of each employee’s professional development.
· Language and IT Managers or Programme Director routinely visit classes, observes classroom activities and reviews instructors’ documentation (lesson plan, written activities, tests ect). These observation are not meant to be judgmental but to support the instructors’ professional development as well as to help keep the Language and IT Managers or Programme Director informed about student needs and performance and issues related to curriculum development, enchantment and modification. Visits will generally be informal and non-intrusive.
2-Instructors will maintain open, honest, constructive communication with other staff members.
2.1. Staff Relation
Instructors will:
· According all staff members their respect and courtesy, both in the outside of their presence.
· Demonstrate cultural and gender sensitivity in their conversations, use of language, gestures and other behaviors, in interactions with and in front of staff.
· Not use their position to appropriate favors or services from support staff.
· COPE reserves the right to dismiss employee or violating the integrity of relations with other staff members.
2.2. Concerns/Complaints/Grievances.
· COPE encourages instructors to offer suggestion and feedback on the development and operation of COPE. The COPE administrators all share and are committed to an open door policy.
· To ensure that all individuals’ rights are protected, however, we ask that instructors raise very sensitive concerns to the appropriate manager, with discretion. Instructors’ concerns will be treated confidentiality by managers. The instructors should also maintain confidentiality in regard to sensitive issue.
